In a world of designing for small spaces, I wanted to preserve the intimacy of sharing a meal together. This modular dining set tucks neatly away when not in use, yet unfolds into a welcoming table for two, balancing efficiency with connection. In an attempt to tackle my first furniture set, I learned how to tape resist paint perfect lines, craft precise duplicates of a singular product, and properly prime and paint wood for the first time. Blending geometric CNC prototyping with vintage diner aesthetics, the design brings both together in a way that still feels suitable for the average home decorator. My process moved through design, CNC milling, sanding, assembly, painting, and upholstering.

low, minimal backs keep diners upright and engaged. encouraging better posture, livelier energy, and more natural conversation.
